'The Affair' season 2 spoilers: Cherry's admission about Lockharts shocks Cole and his brothers in episode 7

Cole Lockhart (Joshua Jackson) learned a shocking discovery in the next episode of "The Affair" season 2. Showtime

In the next episode of "The Affair" season 2, Cole Lockhart (Joshua Jackson) seems to have another reason to hate Noah Solloway (Dominic West) aside from the latter stealing his ex-wife Alison Bailey (Ruth Wilson).

Based on a teaser for episode 7 of Showtime's award-winning mystery drama, Cole will tell his family how he hated the way Noah wrote about their real life situation and "twisted it into something grotesque."

However, expressing his feelings to his family does nothing to cheer him up. The Lockharts begin talking about their long-existing problems, which infuriates Cole even more. But everyone is shocked when their mother Cherry (Mare Winningham) reveals that their family is "cursed," which she claims was the reason behind the series of unfortunate events that fell upon them.

Cherry claims that all the bad decisions that their father did in the past had an adverse effect on Cole and his brothers. She also says that the curse will not allow another Lockhart to be born, claiming that the death of Cole and Alison's son Gabriel is a clear proof of their family's misfortune.

Based on the synopsis for the upcoming episode, the latest revelations about his family will drive Cole further away from his family.

Meanwhile, Alison also seems to be unhappy with the way Noah interpreted their story in his new book. A sneak peek shows that Alison is deeply disappointed by how Noah portrayed her in the story. She will confront him in the upcoming episode to ask him if he really wants to have a family with her, or if he'd rather want her and the baby to disappear to make his life easier.

But Noah assures her that the story in the book is just fictional, and he was only forced to write the ending to make it more appealing to the readers. He also says that Alison and their upcoming child is his real life right now.

"The Affair" season 2 episode 7 will air on Sunday, Nov. 15, on Showtime.
