The details regarding the plot and release date of "The 100" season 4 remains a mystery, but fans are starting to connect the dots to find out what they should look forward to when the post-apocalyptic series returns to The CW.

The writers of "The 100" might have slipped the release date of season 4 premiere in one of their post on Instagram.

The writers uploaded a drawing of a perfume bottle which they called "Eau de Radiation" that will reportedly go on sale in 2017. But upon closer inspection, the writers included the perfume's volume which reads "17.2 oz." This prompted several speculations that the new season will begin on "17.2" or Feb. 17.

While the writers have yet to confirm the speculations, it could be safe to guess that "The 100" season 4 will premiere in early 2017 since it will be included in The CW's midseason line-up.

Meanwhile, another rumor was spread by an avid fan on Twitter. According to the social media post of @InfoBellarke, the title of the season's premiere episode will be "Echoes," based on the photo of the script's cover page that was taken by an anonymous source.

The photo also revealed that the season 4 premiere episode was written by executive producer Jason Rothenberg and directed by Dean White. However, the post did not mention anything about the plot of the season premiere.

It can be remembered that the previous season ended with a warning from A.L.I.E. (Erica Cerra) that the Earth will be destroyed in six months due to radiation leaks from the abandoned nuclear power plants worldwide. This left Clark (Eliza Taylor) with a new task of coming up with the right solution to help save the Earth's surviving mankind.

The CW is expected to reveal the premiere date of "The 100" season 4 in the coming days.
