A new character will be introduced in the fourth season of The CW's post-apocalyptic series "The 100."

Melty spotted a new piece of information on the show's IMDB page, showing that a new character will be included in the roster.

The page revealed that actor Will E. McDonald had been tapped to portray the role of the new character named Wilson for "The 100" season 4.

McDonald appeared in the 2015 horror film "Bad Building." He also appeared in a 2011 film titled "Geo Finger" as well as "The End" during the same year.

However, there are no details that describe Wilson's character at the moment.

McDonald will join several other new cast members who will be introduced in the next installment of the sci-fi dystopian drama, including Canadian actors Joseph John Coleman and Alex Pangburn. Coleman will portray the role of Taggart while Pangburn will play the role of Hayes. All three actors will make their debut in the fourth episode of the season.

Meanwhile, another new actress will appear in the premiere episode of "The 100" season 4. "Elektra" cast member Jana Mitsoula had been cast to portray the role of Willa in the upcoming season premiere. Just like the other new characters, there are no details released about what Willa will do in the series.

Plot details about "The 100" remains scarce, but fans are expecting to see Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the others get their hands busy in saving the Earth from possible destruction due to the nuclear power plants left by the previous generation.

Clarke found out from A.L.I.E. (Erica Cerra) that the Earth's life will only last for about six months because of the gradual release of radiation coming from the abandoned nuclear power plants. This means the people of the Polis, the Grounders, and the Sky People will cease to exist after the destruction of the Earth if they will not do something about it.

"The 100" season 4 is expected to premiere in the first quarter of 2017 as part of The CW midseason line-up.
