Two months after the third episode of "Telltale's Game of Thrones" was released, the fourth installment in the episodic graphic adventure game series finally gets a release date. The game developer announced the official rollout schedule of "Game of Thrones Episode 4: Sons of Winter" through its Twitter account.

According to Telltale, "Game of Thrones Episode 4" will be released for the PlayStation, PC and Mac starting May 26, and Xbox players can start getting the game on May 27. Meanwhile, the mobile versions of the title can be downloaded on Android and iTunes beginning May 28.

The official synopsis of "Sons of Winter" reads:

In Episode 4, the fate of the scattered Forresters hangs in the balance, and no one allied with the family is safe. An unexpected meeting offers Rodrik a new opportunity to free Ironrath from its Whitehill stranglehold, but with young Ryon Forrester still held prisoner, his next moves are critical."

The synopsis also mentions that Gared should leave Castle Black and go out beyond the Wall to look for the mystical North Grove, but this could put his life in danger in the hands of the Wildlings and other dangerous creatures behind the Wall. Meanwhile, Mira must find out how to carefully play the very tricky game of politics in King's Landing after the recent royal death brought public discord.

But probably the most exciting feature in the new "Game of Thrones" episode is the appearance of Daenerys Targaryen in the video game. According to the game's synopsis:

Far away in Essos, Asher infiltrates the slave city of Meereen at the behest of Daenerys Targaryen, but will the friendship he holds dear break under the strain of a mission that raises memories best forgotten?"

Once "Game of Thrones Episode 4: Sons of Winter" is released, only two episodes will be left in the six-part action fantasy video game series based on HBO's hit series "Game of Thrones," which, in turn, is adapted from George R.R. Martin's bestselling "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel. The remaining installments in the game series are titled "Game of Thrones Episode 5: A Nest of Vipers" and "Game of Thrones Episode 6: The Ice Dragon."
