After fears that he won't be back for "Teen Wolf" season 6, Dylan O'Brien was confirmed to be returning in the new season of the supernatural drama.

Not only is he reprising his role as Stiles in the new season, he will also be a massive presence in "Teen Wolf" season 6, as showrunner Jeff Davis revealed to Entertainment Weekly.

"Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season's mystery revolves around him. We're going to see just what Stiles' friendship means to Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden), and Malia (Shelley Hennig)," Davis revealed.

"We're going to see why exactly he's Scott's best friend, what it means that he's Malia's human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won't-they relationship is with Lydia," he went on to say.

There were reports that O'Brien won't be in "Teen Wolf" season 6 following his accident on the set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure," which was delayed to make room for the actor's recovery.

It turns out that it won't be the case. In fact, Davis said that much of "Teen Wolf" season 6 will center on Stiles, which was always the plan.

Entertainment Weekly shared a first look photo of O'Brien as Stiles in "Teen Wolf" season 6. A hand brace is visible, and it's not because of his real-life injury, but one written in on the show.

Davis revealed that the "Teen Wolf" season 6 premiere will reveal what that is all about and why he needed a hand brace. He also reiterated that this season, "a lot of this story is about Stiles."

"Teen Wolf" season 6 will be so big on Stiles that all the characters will reflect on their connection with him. As to why that is the case remains to be seen, but it is expected that Stiles will be a hero in all these reflections and revelations.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 premieres this fall on MTV. More photos of O'Brien as Stiles in the new season can be seen here.
