The sixth season of MTV's "Teen Mom 2" began with a whole new level of drama in the lives of young moms Jenelle Evans, Leah Calvert, Kailyn Lowry, and Chelsea Houska, and it seems like the entire new season will be filled with even more scandals.

First, Jenelle fights to get the full custody of her son Jace from her mother Barbara, who said that she will give her the custody rights for her son after preparing him for a year of transition. But Jenelle feels like it is taking so long for her mother to let it happen, which is why she is contemplating getting a lawyer.

Barbara revealed that Jace begins acting up in school whenever he comes back from Jenelle's house, and admitted that she and Nathan are not in a good place and it is hard for her to see Jenelle's other child because of him. Later in the episode, Jenelle and Barbara fight after the former ignores her mother's phone call on her birthday because Nathan surprises her with a trip to St. Thomas for a week.

Leah, on the other hand, is also fighting her own custody battle with her ex-husband Corey Simms because he believes that she is unfit to care for their daughters, Ali and Aleeah. Despite dropping them off to school late several times, the judge lets her keep the children.

Kailyn and husband Javi are constantly fighting in the episode. Javi accuses Kailyn of cheating behind his back when he discovers a text exchange between her and a male classmate. Kailyn even misses a concert that she planned to go to with her friends because of a fight. In the later part of the episode, Kailyn tells Javi that she is done fighting with him, and immediately walks out.

But things look different for Chelsea despite the custody lawsuit filed by ex-boyfriend Adam to get their daughter Aubree. In this episode, Chelsea introduces her new boyfriend Cole, who she said loves her daughter so much. But she does not let Adam get Aubree, which is why she teams up with Adam's other baby mama Taylor to take him down.

Meanwhile, MTV's Morgan J. Freeman recently admitted that he sometimes finds it hard to shoot a TV series like "Teen Mom 2" because the decisions that the young women make could eventually hurt their own children.

"It's heartbreaking sometimes ... everything in you wants to say, 'Stop! No!" but that's not our job..." the executive producer told Observer

However, he believes that the show somehow manages to change the way society talks about teen pregnancy despite the controversies around it.

"Teen Mom 2" airs Thursdays on MTV.
