A well-loved villain is going to make a comeback in the upcoming episode of "Supernatural" season 13. Titled "Funeralia," the ninteenth episode of the season will feature the return of the evil witch, Rowena (Ruth Connell), althought the wicked character may have some use for Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester as she plans to put an end to her conflict with Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino).
According to the latest promo teaser released by The CW for "Supernatural" season 13 episode 19, the Winchesters has some business to deal with Rowena, but the brothers will have to be weary of the witch's intention this time around, given how cunning Rowena could be. It appears that Rowena is about to go on a "deadly mission," which involves the fallen archangel, Lucifer.
Lucifer has been busy in the past few episodes of "Supernatural" season 13, and all of his efforts paid off as he is now the ruler of heaven, thanks to the help of a faith healer and angel, Sister Jo (Danneel Ackles).
Of course, the Winchesters will not allow the devil to proceed with his plans, and the timing of Rowena's arrival would help the brothers to stop Lucifer.
Rowena has her own agenda in her appearance in episode 19, which is to obtain the Black Grimoire, which will give her immense power that will be enough to cast a protection spell against the likes of Lucifer.
Moreover, this could also be an opportunity to get an archangel's grace from Lucifer, which is an important requirement to open a rift to the apocalypse dimension. Aside from demons taking control of heaven and earth, Sam and Dean would also need to reach the apocalypse dimension to save Mary (Samantha Smith) and Jack (Alexander Calvert), as well as to stop global destruction.
To recap the previous episode, Sam and Dean have begun with their mission to save Jack and Mary from the apocalypse dimension after coming back from the goofy "Scooby-Doo" crossover. The prince of hell, Asmodeus, also has his eyes set on Lucifer's son, Jack, which he can use against the devil to claim lordship over hell.
Supernatural season 13 episode 18 will air next Thursday, April 19 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
