The CW's hit TV series, "Supernatural," has already shown all sorts of weirdness since the first season, which can be expected from a show that deals with angels, demons and otherworldly creatures. However, the fans have yet to see how strange the series can get as season 13 is about to feature the most unlikely cross-over episode in its history. Episode 16 will see Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester in their fully animated versions as they explore the world of "Scooby-Doo."

The "Scooby-Doo" cartoon is the last thing in the viewers' minds for a fitting "Supernatural" cross-over episode. Nevertheless, the producers have already thought of this through, promising that the fans will love the absurdity of the episode. According to the official synopsis of "Supernatural" season 13 episode 16, titled "Scoobynatural," Sam, Dean and Castiel (Misha Collins) will find themselves in the animated world of "Scooby-Doo." From there, they will meet the "Scooby-Doo" gang as they team up to solve a mystery that has made their very different worlds to intertwine.

There are no confirmed plot details yet for the episode that explains how the Winchester brothers and Castiel will be transported to the "Scooby-Doo" world. In the "Supernatural" universe, "Scooby-Doo" only exists as a cartoon show. In fact, Dean loved "Scooby-Doo" very much as a child, but due to a magical anomaly brought by a television set from a mysterious pawnshop owner, the cartoon becomes a reality. The spoilers suggest that Sam is doubtful about the pawnshop owner's intention in giving away his TV for free, although Dean thinks that it is worth keeping. In the end, the brothers will realize that accepting the TV is a bad idea.

The particular "Scooby-Doo" episode that the Winchester brothers will end up in "Supernatural" season 13 episode 16 is the 1970's classic, "A Night of Fright Is No Delight." It might actually help that Dean is a huge "Scooby-Doo" geek until now, and he could be aware of the things that they should and should not do to get out of the cartoon world alive. Of course, the usual elements of "Supernatural" will be injected into it, and perhaps the culprit is one of the Winchesters' enemies in the actual world.

"Supernatural" season 13 has entered a three-week break, which means the fans will have to be patient before witnessing the rare "Scooby-Doo" cross-over. Episode 16 will air on March 29th, Tuesday, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
