As one of the longest running series of CW, "Supernatural" is definitely living up to its name given its 13 seasons. With its 12th episode coming out in just a few days, fans may be wondering what new surprises they will get from the next episode. For this one, it looks like someone is coming back after a year's absence.

The upcoming 12th episode is entitled "Various & Sundry Villains," and from the title itself, fans could expect more characters to be placed in the show. According to CarterMatt, Ruth Connell was placed in this specific episode's credits. For those who do not know, Connell plays Rowena.

Fans who have been following the series will know that it has been a year since Rowena last appeared in the series, and for Connell's name to appear again only means one obvious thing: Rowena is coming back. In fact, this specific episode will coincidentally bring her back from the dead.

The synopsis itself actually already shows this, so it may not come as something new, but for those who are not the type to read synopsis then this is definitely a bit of spoiler. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are in trouble after getting caught by witches, played by guest stars Jordan Clair Robbins as Jamie and Elise Gatien as Jennie.

According to the official synopsis, Same and Dean will be aided by the reanimated Rowena when they try to go after a book. It seems that the brothers will need her help in their quest. It also mentions that a former actress of the series, Amanda Tapping, will be directing the episode. This is only her second time directing, so things may look even more interesting.

The upcoming twelfth episode for season 13 of "Supernatural" will air on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 8 p.m. EST on TNT.
