"Supergirl" has entered weeks of hiatus to prepare Kara Danvers aka Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) for a massive showdown with Purity (Krys Marshall) and Reign (Odette Annable). The upcoming episode will also feature a possible talk between Mon-El (Chris Wood) and his wife, Imra Ardeen (Amy Jackson) after Mon-El admitted in episode 13 that he is still in love with Kara.
In episode 14, titled "Schott Through The Heart," Kara will be facing off against 2 Worldkillers — Purity and Reign. In the last episode of the season, Kara and her team tried to capture Purity and failed. Purity managed to escape the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), swore to destroy National City and allied herself with her sister, Reign who had awakened her and removed all traces of humanity left in her.
Now that the two are united, they will prove to be the greatest threat Supergirl has yet to face. The two will, no doubt, continue with their plan of destroying the world to build a new one. The two will also be very determined to find their sister, first Worldkiller Pestilence, whose whereabouts are unknown.
The upcoming episode will also feature a possible talk between Mon-El and Imra. In episode 13, Mon-El admitted to Hank (Dave Harewood) that he was still in love with Kara and that his love for her was confusing his feelings towards his wife. Moreover, he said that even though his and Imra's marriage was arranged, he fell in love with his wife and he felt bad that he was causing his wife pain. While some may think that Mon-El's confession may stir up some bad blood between Imra and Kara, Imra has been aware of her husband's feelings. The confession will not come as a surprise to Imra who holds a high regard for Kara.
"Supergirl" season 3 episode 14 will air on April 16 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
