More details about "Super Mario Maker" were revealed shortly after the game was demonstrated at the recently concluded Nintendo World Championships 2015.

Polygon spotted a recent post on Nintendo UK website, which says that the platform construction game that will be released for the Wii U will feature an extensive level editor that players can use to customize their own "Super Mario" game levels using their Wii U GamePad. But those who are not in the mood to make their own level can still enjoy the game since Nintendo also included 100 pre-made levels that can be played without having to connect online.

IDigital Times noted that having 100 "Mario" levels makes the game more exciting since there is a possibility that the levels are created using the game's level designer. On the other hand, Polygon stated that having that number of levels means that "Super Mario Maker" is better than the original "Super Mario Bros" for NES, which only came with 32 levels when it was released.

Meanwhile, Game Informer had a chance to interview "Super Mario Maker" game director Yosuke Oshino and game producer Takashi Tezuka during the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 in Los Angeles. The duo talked about the reason why they decided to add the word "Super" to the original title "Mario Maker," and why it took them a long time before coming up with this type of game.

According to the game execs, a lot of new amazing features have been included since the title was first revealed at the E3 2014, which is why they decided to change its name to let people know that there are more additions to the platform game level maker. They also revealed that the idea for creating the game came out when Nintendo released the Wii U Gamepad.

"Our idea of making a Mario Paint experience would have involved drawing, but we thought creating courses directly on the GamePad was so intuitive it was kind of like doing your own artwork there, so we kind of merged the two ideas together to come up with what we have today," the game creators said

"Super Mario Maker" is expected to come out in Japan on Sept. 10, while the rest of the world can enjoy the game the day after.
