'Super Mario Maker' release date: Pre-order bonus, new game features for game launch

 Nintendo

With less than a month away from the release of the creation video game "Super Mario Maker," Nintendo revealed several of its new features. The game developer just launched an overview video that highlights the new details of the upcoming game.

Based on the overview video, it is possible for players to come up with their own sound effects and use them in level creations in the side-scroller platform game. The sound effects can be created using the music blocks that can be strategically set-up according to its height, so that it can play recognizable tunes.

Also, the video makes it clear that players will not have instant access to the game's complete toolset since they need to spend a minimum of five minutes using the present tools before more options are arranged to open the next day. This means that it could take at least nine days to unlock all the toolsets for the game.

In addition, the video reveals that "Super Mario Maker" will be compatible with over 50 different amiibo, including Kirby, Wii Fit Trainer, Link, as well as the special edition 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo.

Meanwhile, players in the U.K. who are planning to purchase the game can avail several freebies just by pre-ordering "Super Mario Maker" starting today.

After the official store of Nintendo UK revealed that a bright yellow shirt printed with the Mario 30th Anniversary image will be given to those who pre-order the game, British retail store GAME also revealed that they will provide a bonus item for those who pre-order the game once it comes out online.

The video game retailer said that those who pre-order "Super Mario Maker" will receive a free and exclusive Pin Badge Set made specifically by GAME.

"Super Mario Maker" will reportedly be released in Japan on Sept. 10, while the rest of the world including the U.K. and the U.S. can purchase it starting Sept. 11.
