'Sunset Overdrive' update: New DLC released

Microsoft Studios' recently released open-world third-person shooter game "Sunset Overdrive" finally has its first expansion pack titled "Mystery of Mooil Rig." Game developer Insomniac Games announced the release of the new DLC pack, saying: 

"The newest expansion pack for 'Sunset Overdrive' has arrived! Dive into 'Sunset Overdrive and the Mystery of Mooil Rig!' starting today, available with a Season Pass or for separate purchase from the Xbox Store for £7.99. Sunset Overdrive and the Mystery of the Mooil Rig! is packed full with new stuff, including story missions, two weapons, two Amps, one trap, two vanity items, plus new quests, challenges, Chaos Squad missions, Night Defense base and boss!

The new DLC, which can be obtained for free by those who purchased the season pass or sold for $10 in the U.S. for everyone else, comes with additional hours of new gameplay, added story missions, side missions, and extra quests. The game developers also added a new "multi-story monster" boss as well as a Night Defense base in the expansion pack. It also features added weapons, vanity items, and amps. 

Aside from that, the "Sunset Overdrive: Mystery of Mooil Rig" also involves a feature that requires players to collect achievements such as the one called "Beat the Dev" worth 25 gamerscores where they can get an exclusive in-game shirt as well as a gas mask icon that can be seen next to the gamertag. This achievement can be acquired by beating the required player. Also, a new water traversal mechanics is included in the DLC pack, which adds new moves like water diving and air launching once the player glides across the water using a rapid tap of the X button before they ultimately touchdown. 

The gameplay of "Sunset Overdrive" revolves around a customizable FizzCo employee whose main goal is to fight the humans-turned-mutants after taking too much energy drinks known as the OD. It is set in the fictional open world location known as the Sunset City. 

"Sunset Overdrive" is exclusively released for Xbox One.
