'Suits' season 5 spoilers: Mike and Rachel's dream wedding compromised in episode 9

Suits Season 5 USA Network

The long wait for Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel's (Meghan Markle) wedding will finally be over, but things may not go according to plan. In the upcoming episode of "Suits" season 5 titled "Uninvited Guest," Rachel's plans for her dream wedding might be compromised because of Mike's biggest secret.

For the longest time, Mike has been keeping the truth about his real academic background a secret in order to work as a junior partner at the Pearson Specter Litt law office. Rachel knows about it, but she is still willing to live with him for the rest of their lives. However, Mike's ex-girlfriend Claire (Troian Bellisario) gave a warning in the previous episode, saying his secret will be revealed if they push through with the wedding.

Will Rachel push through with their wedding plans and risk exposing Mike's past, especially in front of her father Robert (Wendell Pierce)?

Meanwhile, the senior partners of the Pearson Specter Litt law firm, Jessica (Gina Torres) and Louis (Rick Hoffman), will do everything that they can in order to keep Daniel Hardman (David Costabile) from getting the firm back with the help of the ambitious new partner Jack Soloff (John Pyper-Ferguson). They will get the help of Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Mike to find out who is behind Hardman's quest to take over the firm, while Louis will try to find Jack's witness so that they can have the chance to fight them back.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

With their backs against the wall, Jessica and Louis make a last-ditch effort to rally the support of the partners, as Daniel Hardman and Jack Soloff attempt a takeover of the firm. Meanwhile, Mike and Harvey must each face down the demons of their past in order to make potentially life-altering decisions."

Does it mean that Mike will finally come clean about his real educational background in the next episode of the season?

"Suits" season 5 episode 9 is slated to air on Thursday, Aug. 19, on USA Network.
