Fans of the long-running "Street Fighter" fighting game recently received a treat from Capcom, after community manager Peter Rosas discussed the details regarding the first PS4 beta of the soon-to-be released "Street Fighter V" game.

According to Rosas, the first "Street Fighter V" beta will last for five days. It will begin at exactly 6 p.m. Pacific time on July 23.

The community manager also discussed the main purpose of the upcoming beta, which is to try the online net code of the game. Rosas stated that Capcom wants to make sure that this part of "Street Fighter V" is properly configured before it comes out in the market. He also said that all the data gathered during the five-day beta period will be used to help improve the final edition of the game.

The beta announcement also revealed that all the "Street Fighter V" characters will be available during the beta period. This means that all the characters that were demonstrated at the Electronic Entertainment Expo build can be tried out, including Ryu, Nash, Chun-Li, M. Bison, Birdie, and Cammy.

However, Cammy and Birdie will only appear on Saturday, July 25, while the other four will be available as soon as the beta period begins. The Capcom rep explained that they have to delay the availability of the specified characters to try out their brand new content delivery system.

The gameplay flow for the upcoming "Street Fighter V" beta was also discussed. According to Rosas, the players will reach the character select screen once they boot up the game and go straight past the start screen. Then the players will have to choose which character they want to fight as, since they will not be able to choose a different character once the battles begin.

A training mode will then begin while the opponent is being selected, then the players will be taken back to the versus screen to start the match. Once the matches are finished, they will be pointed back toward the Grid where they will have to wait before the next match.

The beta stages were also revealed, as well as the system requirements based on the players' region.

Players from European countries can sign up on the Street Fighter V Beta Enroll page, while those in different regions are given a different set of instructions.
