"Stranger Things" season 2 is not expected to arrive until Halloween this year, but fans can already expect that its season 3, should there tabe one, will be just as riveting as some of the ideas originally meant for its sophomore season have been reserved for its third installment.

Nothing much is known how the story of "Stranger Things" season 2 will pan out, but it has been learned that there is an excess of ideas for the upcoming season. Because of this, it has been decided that those that can't be squeezed into the story of the series' sophomore season will just be used in its third season instead.

"As the episodes were written by the Duffers, they realized that there was too much story for nine episodes. So it forced us to be judicious in which stories we tell this season. So one of the surprises was, not all of our grand ideas are going to be serviced in one season... If we had 40 ideas going into the season, 30 (we) are going to pick, and the rest go in the back of our head for, hopefully, future chapters," revealed "Stranger Things" executive producer/director Shawn Levy in an interview with Mashable.

While the story of "Stranger Things" season 2 is still much of a mystery as of this writing, fans can, at least, expect the forthcoming season of the Netflix original series to cast the spotlight on Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), who did not enjoy a good amount of exposure in the first season as he went missing.

To the uninitiated, Will disappeared in season 1 after he was abducted by the show's big bad, the Demogorgon, and stayed in the Upside Down world for almost a week. Because of his stay in the other dimension, it is now suspected that he may be harboring the eggs of season 1's monster as he coughed up a slug toward the end of the season 1 finale and may even be the big bad in the upcoming season.  Whatever the truth is, one thing is for sure: Will is going to find himself in the center of events in "Stranger Things" season 2.

"Will Byers is very much at the center of Season 2. Noah steps up in the most staggering way," Levy said.

"Stranger Things" returns to Netflix for its season 2 this Oct. 31.
