After a Russian website leaked the details about this year's Steam Summer Sale, the official promotion for the annual event began.

A promo sent by PayPal to several individuals confirms the rumored schedule of Valve's Steam Summer Sale 2015, scheduled to start this week. Based on the letter sent by the online payment service, the sale period for a wide variety of PC game titles will begin on Thursday, June 11. It will last until Sunday, June 21. It is almost similar to the report from the Russian gaming site, saying that the Steam Sale will start on June 11, with a "Sale Encore" from June 20 to 22.

NDTV Gadgets recently shared several tips on how to make the most out of the upcoming Steam Summer Sale 2015.

One of the first advices that was mentioned is to avoid making any purchases during the first day of the Steam Summer Sale, since most early deals are not as good as the ones offered in the later part of the sale period. Normally, the sale will offer at least 20 to 25 percent discount on the first day. It would be better if consumers will choose to wait until the daily deals, the numerous flash sales, as well as the community choice discounts are presented, as these could give bigger discounts of up to 75 percent off from the original price.

The flash sales and the community choice discounts are normally offered for at least eight hours, while the daily deals can last for an entire day. That is why it is also mentioned that players should time their purchases wisely to get the best deals.

Also, it would be better to check out the game titles on the front page first, since those that are placed on it offers the biggest discounts compared to the ones on the lower part of the list. It would also help if the players already have an idea what games they are looking for to avoid overpurchasing.
