"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is the latest addition to the "Star Wars" movie franchise. The movie was released earlier on Dec. 9 in Los Angeles, but will be making its debut to the rest of the US on Dec. 15.

The movie was directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Lucasfilm and Bad Robot Productions.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" focuses on Rey. Under the guidance of Luke Skywalker, Rey develops her powers. Luke is impressed Rey's potential. Meanwhile, in the background, a battle between the First Order and the Resistance is happening — tension is high for the main characters.

According to Forbes, some of the things moviegoers will be seeing in the latest film would be bits and pieces of Rey's past. Abandoned as a child, she was left on a planet by her parents. In the movie, Rey does a lot of soul-searching and questioning — answers are finally given to the fans.

Aside from that, the movie will also feature a telepathic connection between Rey and Kylo Ren.

Some of the other plot-related spoilers involve Leia and Yodo.

Leia apparently evades death. Forbes mentioned that while Kylo attempts to murder Leia, she manages to escape into space and flies off to safety. Despite Carrie Fischer's death, Leia will be making an appearance in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

Fischer died in 2016 and at the premiere of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," her fellow stars and the people who worked hard to make "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" came to the big screen and dedicated the movie to her. According to The Guardian, Rian Johnson, the writer, and director of the film said some words about Carrie, encouraging everyone to have a blast on behalf of the late Fisher.

Popular Sci-Fi, space opera "Star Wars" first came out 1977. The film gained massive popularity and since then, it has resulted in the creation of several movies and video games.
