Casting rumors and plot spoilers have been going around the grapevine recently about the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII" movie.

One of the actors who were asked about his participation in the epic sci-fi flick is Liam Neeson, who said that he would love to resurrect his role as Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in the new Star Wars film.

In a sit-down interview with HeyUGuys, the critically-acclaimed actor was asked if he wants to be part of the new Star Wars movie. He simply said, "I most certainly would. I certainly don't want anyone else playing [Qui-Gon Jinn]. I don't know what the current story now, at all. I think it's Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, it's [their] characters' generation. I came way, way before that."

Qui-Gon Jinn was killed at the final scenes of "The Phantom Menace."

However, Neeson has not been contacted by anyone from the production to become a part of the film as of the moment. But he clearly said that he would not like the idea of having anyone to play the Jedi master's role other than him.

On the other hand, actor Miltos Yerolemou from the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones" had reportedly joined the cast of the latest Star Wars installment. Yerolemou is popularly known for playing the swords expert Syrio Forel in the television series, but his participation in the George Lucas franchise has yet to be confirmed.

Another rumored Oscar-winning star who is said to be joining the Star Wars cast is Lupita Nyong'o. She is allegedly portraying either the role of a Sith Witch or the daughter of Lando Calrissian. No official statement has been made about this development as of now.

Meanwhile, the rumors about the production's return to the scenic Skellig Michael Island to shoot more scenes for the film had been quashed. The Telegraph quotes Louise Ryan of the Irish Film Board as saying, "The Irish Film Board can confirm that no filming has been scheduled for Skellig Michael in the coming months. Any comments on the international blogs with regard to this matter is pure speculation at this stage."

"Star Wars: Episode VII" will reportedly hit the big screen on December 18, 2015.
