'Star Wars Battlefront' updates: DICE to fix Walker Assault mode imbalance

After the recently concluded "Star Wars Battlefront" beta, DICE acknowledged the fact that the game's Walker Assault mode tends for be more lenient toward the Imperials side compared to the Rebels, but DICE said they will start revising some of its features to bring balance to the game.

Based on the feedback received by the game developer, a lot of beta testers found it hard to win in the Walker Assault mode that features the breathtaking recreation of the battle of Hoth.

While the Imperial Stormtroopers actually won in the movie franchise, the players who opted to side with the Rebel Alliance soldiers would also want to win in the game.

In one of the newest post of the DICE community manager Matthew Everett posted his thoughts regarding a fan's confession about having difficulty playing the upcoming action shooter game during its beta phase, saying that there was a balancing issue seen in the game's Walker Assault mode.

The statement was backed by the game's lead multiplayer designer Dennis Brännvall, saying: "Yeah, it's too tough. We'll make changes based on the feedback and data. Asymmetric modes are tricky and risky but potentially awesome, that's why we want beta test help."

It is expected to see a fixed Assault Walker mode when "Star Wars Battlefront" reaches the retail shelves next month.

Meanwhile, EA recently revealed that "Star Wars Battlefront" will be getting four expansion packs when players chose to purchase the DLC Season Pass.

According to GameSpot, the four expansion packs will come after the game's release, but EA has yet to reveal the specific details of its contents and release dates. But the game studio revealed that those who will purchase the season pass will get two weeks of early access to the content of each expansion pack compared to those who will purchase the packs individually.

The "Star Wars Battlefront" DLC Season Pass can be pre-ordered for Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, and Origin for $50, while the individual content will be sold for $15.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is slated to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC editions beginning Nov. 17.
