The rumor mills started to get busy again this week as new reports surfaced that "Star Wars: Battlefront" would come out in April.

According to an ad posted on the Star Wars Celebration site, the new action game from Electronic Arts will be released on April 16, in time for the big "Star Wars" event that will be held from that day until April 19. The site dedicated to the event seems to imply that EA will not only grace the gathering for all things "Star Wars," but the gaming company will also be debuting something since they are listed as exhibitors. This flamed the speculations that the highly anticipated "Star Wars" game will finally come out during the event.

Also, Niklas Fegraeus, the design director of "Star Wars: Battlefront," talked to IGN about the game's development early this year.

According to Fegraeus, "We've [DICE] been showing the game to some close partners and one of the things we hear is that it doesn't feel like other shooters and that it's fully born from Star Wars. That really strikes a chord with me and the team as that is exactly the emotion and feeling we are going for and we can't wait to show the world more this spring."

Since April is also in spring, could this mean that the game's design director already gave out a clue on its release date as early as January?

Early speculations predicted that "Star Wars: Battlefront" will come out in time for the premiere of the next "Star Wars" film, "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens," scheduled on Dec. 18. However, current rumors are claiming that the game will come out earlier than expected.
