EA DICE has dropped information regarding the soon-to-be released "Star Wars Battlefront" beta prior to its release on Thursday.

To prepare for the "Star Wars Battlefront" beta release on Oct. 8, players are advised to free at least 7 GB on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles and 11 GB on PC to be able to run the beta version of the game properly. The game developer revealed that those who will use their PCs can pre-load it on their systems starting 4:00 a.m. ET on Oct. 7 from the Origin store.

Because of the massive size required by the beta, players should expect to have an extensive preview of the actual game when it finally comes out in November.

The "Star Wars Battlefront" beta was first announced by EA DICE early September, saying it incorporated the 40-player battle that involves Rebels and the Empire. This means that players can opt to pick Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker as their playable character.

The upcoming beta also comes with the Survival Mission on Tattoine, where the player and a Rebel friend will combat with numerous Imperial forces.

EA DICE also included a new mode called Drop Zone, but the game developer has yet to discuss what this new mode will offer.

Wicked Local Winchester described the "Star Wars Battlefront" beta as a technical test that will allow the Rebels and the Imperials to have a preview of the upcoming battles that will be featured in the soon-to-be released action video game.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is the third major release in the "Star Wars: Battlefront" series. However, EA DICE does not consider it as a sequel of the previous games. Instead, the upcoming game is thought of as a reboot of the original "Star Wars: Battlefront" title that came out in 2004.

Players should expect to see the "Star Wars Battlefront" on retail stores beginning Nov. 17 in North America and Brazil, Nov. 19 in Australia, and Nov. 20 in Europe.
