'Splatoon' update: Nintendo brings in new and overhauled weapons, bug fixes in latest update

"Splatoon" officially gets a brand new update, which introduces a slew of new weapons as well as adjustments in older ones in the collection. On top of that are tweaks and improvements on the game to give players a better ink-splatting experience.

There are eight new weapons (mostly improved versions of existing weapons) that come with the update and Nintendo has provided details about the bunch of the fun new armory via its "Splatoon" Tumblr page.

Soda Slosher Nintendo

The first weapon out of the "Splatoon" update is called Soda Slosher, which is basically a good old-fashioned slosher with a twist. Apart from "pretty sweet" bucket colors, the weapon has Splat Bombs for basic strategy and an Inkzooka with "ranged power" no other model has.

The Refurbished Mini Splatling Nintendo

Thanks to the "Splatoon" update, players are also getting The Refurbished Mini Splatling, which has Burst Bombs for sub weapon and Bomb Rush for special. Next up is the Tempered Dynamo Roller, which caters to greater mobility, courtesy of its Seeker sub weapon.

Bamboozler 14 Mk III Nintendo

Another killer item "Splatoon" gamers can get their hands on via the update is the Bamboozler 14 Mk III, which is basically an Mk I with an all-new brown bamboo pipe for a barrel. Paired with Burst Bombs and an Inkstrike, the weapon should put opponents to sleep without a hitch.

Wasabi Splattershot Nintendo

The next "Splatoon" weapon is the Wasabi Splattershot, a variant of the Splattershot with Splat Bombs for improved frontline capability. With an Inkstrike, this baby will sure make things spicy for the enemies.

Permanent Inkbrush Nintendo

The "Splatoon" update also introduces the Permanent Inkbrush. With high-powered Splat Bombs sub weapon with mobility on par with older models, anyone who has this are sure to make greater damage.

Fresh Sqiuffer Nintendo

The Berry Splattershot Pro is all about tearing through the opponent's defenses. Its deadly combination – Suction Bombs, Bomb Rush and great firing range – seals the deal for any Inkling.

The "Splatoon" update also redesigned the Classic Squiffer. With Suction Bombs installed in the weapon, players got themselves what Nintendo came to call the Fresh Squiffer. To learn all about the weapon adjustments, click here.
