After Sony Mobile started rolling out the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for its current flagship devices, the Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact, the mobile manufacturing brand immediately followed up with the release of Google's mobile operating system update for the Xperia Z2.

The XperiaBlog confirmed that the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop is already available for the Xperia Z (D6503) in the Nordic and the Baltic regions, including countries like Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Latvia and Estonia, through Over The Air download.

Earlier, the Japanese mobile brand manufacturer announced that they will bring the latest Android update to all the devices under its Sony Xperia product line, which includes the Sony Xperia Z3, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet, the Sony Zperia Z2 and Z2 Tablet, the Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, as well as the Xperia Tablet Z. Meanwhile, Sony Mobile's next-generation flagship phone, dubbed as the Sony Xperia Z4, is also expected to be released with the Android Lollipop straight out of the box. Expected to be announced during the IFA 2015, it will reportedly come with a 5.5-inch Quad HD screen with thinner metal frame, a 2.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 4 GB of RAM as well as an Adreno 430 graphics card under the hood.
