"Sleepy Hollow" has finally found a replacement for Nicole Beharie's character Abbie Mills when the series returns for season 4.

Deadline revealed that "True Blood" alum Janina Gavankar will portray the role of Diana, a recurring character in the upcoming season. The actress also appeared on The CW show "Arrow" as Mckenna Hall and Qetsiyah/Tessa in "The Vampire Diaries."

According to the report, Diana will be introduced as a single mom and ex-military officer who will work as a Special Agent for Homeland Security. The character description said that Diana is a "tough, take-charge personality, punctuated by a wry sense of humor."

Diana will also show her nurturing, softer side whenever she is with her daughter, whom she is fiercely devoted to and will do everything for to protect her. But it does not mean that she will make life easier for Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison).

"Initially she doesn't believe in the supernatural, and that creates conflicts with Crane," the description reads. "They also clash because they have different ways of approaching missions: While he's methodical and research-focused, she's active and task-oriented, which is reflective of her military training."

However, the loss of her old partner during a mission will give her and Crane a common ground as they both deal with their losses.

Meanwhile, the series is still on the lookout for the right actors for the roles of research analyst named Seth, the "female MacGyver" named Rosa and the male antagonist for the upcoming season.

The new characters will replace the former series regulars who departed from the show, including Joe (Zach Appelman), Betsy (Nikki Reed), Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon), Daniel Reynolds (Lance Gross), and Sophie Foster (Jessica Camacho).

The fourth season of "Sleepy Hollow" will be included in the midseason line-up of FOX for 2016-2017.
