Fans are still nursing their broken hearts over the death of Joe Corbin (Zach Appelman), but executive producer Clifton Campbell revealed that there are still a lot of things to look forward to in the remaining episode of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3.

During the press room roundtable at the recently concluded WonderCon, Campbell revealed that a number of new monsters will be introduced in the episode titled "Ragnarok."

"Yes, you will see some awesome creatures," Campbell revealed, as reported by Slash Film. "[Episode] 18 has got a really, really awesome monster that I'm very, very excited about."

The new creatures will be introduced after Joe died as a wendigo under The Hidden One's curse. This means that Appelman's departure from the Fox supernatural action procedural drama has been confirmed.

The finale for season 3 will also reveal that Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Crane (Tom Mison) have discovered a way to finally fix Pandora's box, while the team works nonstop to prevent The Hidden One (Peter Mensah) from completely destroying humanity.

The episode is expected to be as intense as the previous season enders of the series.

"This show has a history of our finales being very unexpected and game changing," Campbell stated. "That's a challenge we've not only given ourselves but that our studio and network expect. I think this year is no different."

While Fox has yet to confirm if "Sleepy Hollow" will return for a season 4, the executive producer revealed that the writers' team is not planning to come up with a safe ending in case the network decides to end the series in season 3.

"We're all very hopeful that that's not going to happen so we don't really plan for closure. We plan for moving forward. That's our hope," Campbell said.

The third season finale of "Sleepy Hollow" airs on Fox on Friday, April 8.
