The catfishing scandal that rocked the entire Brown household will be discussed in the premiere of "Sister Wives" season 7.

In 2015, Kody Brown's former legal wife, Meri, got involved in a relationship online. But the person whom she thought was a man turned out to be a woman.

The incident reportedly caused a rift within the family, and it prompted Kody and Meri and his other wives to seek professional counselling.

In the trailer for the premiere episode of "Sister Wives" season 7, Meri admits that she is still affected by the deception that she endured. But Kody tells her that during the time of her affair, he feels that she was very angry with him and it was difficult to talk to her.

This prompts Meri to confess what she really felt when she decided to enter a relationship with someone other than Kody.

"There were times I was angry at you, Kody. I'm not going to lie. I was angry at you," Meri explains during their marital counselling. "Because, if you and I had taken better care of our relationship, then I wouldn't have been in such a vulnerable place and I would have been open to other friendships that wouldn't lead to this kind of deception and evil. So I was angry at you for not being there for me."

The catfishing scandal happened a year after she and Kody legally ended their 24 years of marriage so Kody could marry Robyn and legally adopt her children from a previous relationship.

But she says that she also got angry with herself for being angry about it like she really cared. But she reveals that she actually does not really care.

It is also evident in the trailer that Kody understands what Meri had been through.

"It's weird, it's just a tough place to be. I can only imagine how vulnerable, how abused she feels. Who would you ever trust again?" the Brown patriarch said in front of the camera.

However, the effect of the scandal appears to have a greater impact on Kody and Meri's only child, Mariah. Based on the trailer, the mother and daughter are not on good terms.

Will the Brown family patch things up in the upcoming season?

"Sister Wives" season 7 premieres on Sunday, May 8, on TLC.
