Following the recently concluded PlayStation Experience (PSX 2017), Sony has been announcing remakes for old games left and right. Now, they are also making another remake of the popular game "Shadow of Colossus." PS4 Pro players even have more options for the remake.

As Sony announced on their official PlayStation blog, the "Shadow of Colossus" PS4 remake will have two modes available for the PS4 Pro: Cinematic and Performance. These mode options are pretty straightforward to understand. Sony released a trailer showing off the difference of both modes.

The cinematic mode will enhance more of the image quality, giving breathtaking views, especially since it will be paired with a 4K high dynamic range (HDR) resolution with at least 30 frames per second (FPS). On the other hand, Performance mode, as it already implies, will focus on the game's performance given its detailed graphics even while not on cinematic mode. The game, on this mode, would run at 60 FPS.

Additionally, Sony also announced that the remade game will have a special edition. It includes bonus items including a Steelbook Collector's Case with outer sleeve, Artist Postcards, a physical world map, Colossi stickers, Colossi avatar set for PS4, and two custom PS4 themes. There will also be some bonuses in-game, including an Ancient Bow, a Cloak of Fate, and a "Spotted Seed" Aggro skin.

The original game was released for the PS2 back in 2005, and the PS4 remake will enhance almost every feature of it. This is not the first time the game got a remake as there was also previously a remake for the PS3. Sony has also released another trailer showing the differences between the two different remakes juxtaposed to the original PS2 game.

The Special Edition of the PS4 remake of the game will be priced at $49.99, and the remastered "Shadow of Colossus" game will be out early next year by Feb. 6, 2018.
