'Sense8' season 2 spoilers: photos from the set show a grim-faced Riley

Something is troubling Riley's mind in "Sense8" season 2. Instagram/sense8

A new photo from the Italy filming of "Sense8" season 2 has been released online. It features Riley (Tuppence Middleton) behind the scenes of the filming of the first episode of the season.

In the "Sense8" season 2 photo, Riley is seated, looking serious (almost like she's meditating). There's nothing much to take from the photo, although it is nice to see a glimpse of Riley in the new season.

From what it looks like, something seems to be troubling her mind, and considering this is the premiere, it might have something to do with Will (Brian J. Smith).

[Spoiler Alert! Details about the "Sense8" season 1 finale below]

In the season 1 finale, Will confessed his love for Riley just as he was about to sacrifice himself to save all other sensates from Whispers (Terrence Mann), who has been tirelessly coming after them.

However, the guy played hero to save all of his sensates from Whispers is in critical condition. He ended up surviving, and is being taken care of by his friends. "Seanse8" season 2 should see Riley worried about his condition.

Riley may also be having flashbacks of her family's tragic death. Going back to her homeland Iceland did not do her good, as she was flooded with memories of her husband and her baby's death.

For so long, she has been fighting to put her tragic past behind, but it seems that it continues to haunt her. Now that Will professed his love for her, hopefully Riley will be able to fight her past in "Sense8" season 2.

Filming for "Sense8" season 2 is still in full swing. The cast and crew were in San Francisco earlier this week. Cast member Donna Bae, who plays Sun in the series, shared a couple of behind-the-scenes photos.

"Sense8" season 2 is expected to premiere next year, with a special meant to set up the new season airing later this year.
