After Aml Ameen was replaced in his role as Capheus, "Sense8" season 2 once again experiences a huge shake-up, but this time, it happens behind the camera.

Lilly Wachowski, co-creator of "Sense8," is leaving season 2 in the very capable hands of her sister and creative collaborator Lana Wachowski.

This departure paves the way for Lana's first time in her professional career to go solo. The Wachowski sisters have always directed, written and produced projects. "Sense8" season 2 puts an end to that.

Explaining Lilly's exit from "Sense8" season 2, actress Jamie Clayton, who plays Nomi in the series, told BuzzFeed that she "needed to take some time off."

Lana will now be in charge of the rest of "Sense8" season 2. There's a whole chunk of it left and production is well underway, but Clayton believes she can handle it all because "Lana is absolutely a superwoman."

"The way she channels her energy and her creativity ... it keeps me in absolute awe whenever I'm in her presence. She's an absolute force," Clayton gushed about one of the brilliant minds behind "Sense8."

The cast and crew of "Sense8" season 2 are travelling the world to film new episodes. The group appears to be in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil at the moment.

Actress Doona Bae, who plays the role of sensate Sun in the hit Netflix web series, shared several photos from the said location.

Going back to Ameen, the actor was let go of the "Sense8" after creative differences with Lana. He was ultimately replaced by relative newcomer Toby Onwumere, who has been enjoying the shoot with the cast and crew so far.

"Sense8" season 2 will premiere sometime next year. A special episode that will serve as an opener to the upcoming season is expected to air later this year.
