"Sense8" season 2 has been taking its cast and crew to both sides of the world -- from India to Paris. Now, the Netflix series loops back to San Francisco at the Westerfeld House in Alamo Street to shoot.

According to Hoodline, a large crew will be filming in the said location. It remains to be seen how long the team will stay there before they head to another location.

The stars of "Sense8" season 2 have been documenting their filming experience in the locations they visit via their social media accounts. The people behind the series also set up a special occasion online called "The Road 2 Sense8" to keep fans up to speed of all the happenings during production.

There's also a Tumblr account where the cast and crew post photos from the "Sense8" season 2 production. The latest post there included a bunch of stills from the upcoming episodes as well as behind-the-scenes photos for fans to get a load of.

"It was while shooting the Big Cluster Birthday Bash, we wished there was a way for our fans to experience what we experience while making this show," show co-creator and executive producer Lana Wachowski wrote.

She was referring to "the joy... the jet lag... the lunacy... the intimacy... the fierce commitment... and the love we all have for this project and each other." Wachowski then added "And as Netflix does, they made our wish come true."

Just recently, there was a massive cast shakeup in "Sense8" season 2 after Aml Ameen was replaced by relative newcomer Toby Onwumere for the role of Caephus, one of the main characters in the series. The former was reportedly fired following a conflict with Wachowski.

"Sense8" season 2 will be released on Netflix next year. A special will be available for streaming around Christmas, although there's no specific information about this yet.

Fans can expect more details about this special as the end of the year approaches. For now, fans will have to play the waiting game and look to the cast and crew's online updates.
