The list of gruesome deaths that happen all over the town of Lakewood continues to pile up in the next episode of "Scream" season 2.

In episode 7, Lakewood High's English teacher and Brooke's (Carlson Young) former secret lover Seth Branson (Bobby Campo) was kidnapped and stabbed, and his hand was cut off before being trapped in a building to burn to death by the still unknown killer.

But he was not the only one who was carbonized in the burning building, because Eddie Krueger's (Chase McCleery Bouchie) body was also toasted in the fire.

Kristin Lang (Austin Highsmith) almost lost her life in the previous episode titled "Let the Right One In" when he was thrown down the stairs by the new Ghostface, but the psychology teacher managed to survive after a school janitor alerted Brooke and Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus) about what happened.

But in the upcoming episode, the town will still be haunted by the mysterious killer in spite of the celebration for Lakewood's 100th founding anniversary.

According to the synopsis for the episode titled "Village of the Damned," Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) will have to follow the killer's whim and join a series of fatal games.

"The killer forces Emma through deadly games during the Lakewood carnival and Brooke launches an attack on the town," the synopsis reads.

The trailer for the episode also shows that new student and Emma's new love interest Kieran (Amadeus Serafini) will be kidnapped by the killer. Is he going to be the new victim of Ghostface in the upcoming episode if Emma will not win in the deadly games?

Meanwhile, rumors claim that MTV will cancel "Scream" after its sophomore season because of the continuous drop in the show's ratings. The speculations were further intensified when the show was transferred to a new time slot. However, the network has yet to confirm if the rumors about the cancellation of the series are true.

"Scream" season 2, episode 8 is scheduled to air on Tuesday, July 19, on MTV.
