Did somebody forget to invite the Red Devil to a party?

FOX released a new shocking trailer for Ryan Murphy's upcoming horror-comedy anthology "Scream Queens," showing some of the biggest cast members of the show in one rocking party. The 30-second trailer starts with a good look at the Kappa sorority's president Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) and her henchwomen as they observe the party happening inside the sorority house from the top of the stairs.

Then the group Neckbrace (Lea Michele), Zayday (Keke Palmer), and Grace Gardner (Skyler Samuels) are shown, obviously looking out of place in a room full of cool college kids. Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) is also shown in the Kappa house during the party, snatching red Solo cups from underage drinkers.

But the most prominent figure in the trailer is the Red Devil, the official school mascot of Wallace University. Whoever is wearing the creepy-looking costume seems to be very angry, looking like he or she is plotting to kill someone inside the Kappa sorority house.

Murphy talked about the show's plot in a recent promo video for "Scream Queens," saying that it is "a cross between Heathers and Friday the 13th." The series creator also said that the Kappa ladies do not have to be rescued by any boy since they can do the rescuing by themselves.

Meanwhile, in an interview with the Entertainment Weekly, singer-actor Nick Jonas talked about his participation in the upcoming FOX anthology as the preppy frat boy called Boone. According to Jonas, he did not get to read the script first before signing on for the project, but he placed his entire trust on Murphy, which is why he knows that the project will turn out well.

Jonas did not divulge too much information about Boone, but said: "I was drawn to him, because the idea about his character, at face value is one thing, but you find out later that there's something else going on. It's going to keep people on their toes. I can't tell you much, but it's full of surprises."

"Scream Queens" is scheduled for release sometime in September.
