'Scandal' season 5 episode 15 spoilers: Mellie seeks Liv's help while Jake gets a warning in 'Pencils Down'

Liv has two things to deal with in "Scandal" season 5. ABC

In the next episode of "Scandal" season 5, Mellie continues to inadvertently sabotage her own presidential bid. This time, she has Olivia on the job to fix it.

Titled "Pencils Down," the episode sees Mellie in the middle of a "public gaffe," which she urges Olivia to patch up. Mellie has been messing things up lately that her rivals can simply forget about trying hard to make her look bad.

In the next "Scandal" season 5 episode, Olivia will be helping Mellie get out of this whole new mess before she is unable to undo all of it. However, this won't be the only thing Liv will be busy with.

In the previous "Scandal" season 5 episodes, Olivia has been spying on Jake, but this was put to a stop after National Security Agency got involved. This time, she utilizes the tried and tested "oldest trick in the book."

The promo for the next episode of "Scandal" season 5 sees Olivia and Jake all over each other. As they go about their makeout session, Liv pauses to warn Jake: "Whatever this game is, I will win."

Olivia knows that Jake is cooking up something criminal with the help of his fiancée, who the Gladiators will finally learn about in the upcoming "Scandal" season 5 episode.

In fact, the group will be able to unearth "valuable" information about the new lady in Jake's life –Intel that could help them figure out what Jake really is up to.

As the Gladiators do their research, Susan Ross will do the same thing in order to find out who the other woman David is sleeping with. The "Scandal" season 5 promo shows the presidential candidate confronting her boyfriend.

David has put himself in quite in a dilemma, as he seems to be unable to let go of what he and Liz has developed out of their scheming.

"Scandal" season 5 episode 15 "Pencils Down" airs on March 24 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
