A couple of Samsung tablets believed to be Samsung Tab S3 models just paid a visit to the U.S. regulatory board Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
There's no confirmation that the tablets are indeed the successors of the Tab S2, but Android Authority believes that they could be.
The Samsung Tab line usually comes in two variants – one in an 8-inch screen and another with a much bigger 9.7-inch display. However, both devices in the leak come with 8-inch displays.
Interestingly, the leak states that the tablets will come with a stylus, possibly an S-Pen, which means that the tablets will be positioned as part of the Samsung Galaxy Note line.
As for the rest of the details on the specs, it was revealed that the rear-facing camera of the purported Samsung Tab S3 will come with flash. The FCC file also teased various connectivity options, which include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and LTE compatibility for bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20 and 40.
The remaining specs were not mentioned in the leak. However, information about those have been popping here and there in the web.
According to previous rumors, the display of the Samsung Tab S3 will boast a 2048 x 1536 display resolution for its display as part of the upgrade from its predecessor and will keep its 4:3 ratio.
It will be fitted out with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor clocked at 1.8 gigahertz, which is not much of an upgrade as the previous iteration had the same. It will be paired by 3GB of RAM.
On the outside, rumors have it that the Samsung Tab S3 will share the same design and form factor with last year's model. The Samsung Tab S3 is expected to be made official at the IFA 2016 in Berlin happening Sept. 4 to 9.
