Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 was released around the same time last year and Samsung fans believe it will not be long before the South Korean mobile company unveils a new tablet for this year. There is now a reason to believe that the new tablet exists: GFXBench, a cross-platform benchmark that measures a hardware's performance, released an entry on Feb. 24 about the Samsung Galaxy Tab and its upcoming specs.

A tablet carrying the model number Samsung SM-T835 was spotted in the entry in the benchmarking site. The GFXBench entry also mentioned that the upcoming tablet will have a 10.5-inch display with 2,560 × 1,600 screen resolution. Moreover, the upcoming tablet will also have a 4 Gigabyte (GB) of random-access memory (RAM) and 64 GB of internal storage.

The upcoming tablet is also said to be sporting a 2.3 Gigahertz (GHz) octa-core Qualcomm processor alongside Adreno 540 graphics processing unite (GPU) which Gadgets 360 of NDTV India reported indicates the presence of Snapdragon 835 system on chip (SoC). Gadgets 360 also reported that Galaxy Tab S4 will run Android 8.0 Oreo.

As for its cameras, the upcoming tablet will feature a 12 megapixel (MP) back camera with 4,128 × 3,096 resolution, autofocus, face detection, high-dynamic range (HDR) photo-taking capability, touch focus and full high-definition (HD) video recording with 1,920 × 1,080 resolution. Its 7 MP front camera, on the other hand, boasts 3,264 × 2,448 resolution and full HD video recording with 1,920 × 1,080.

The other features of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S4 include the following — an accelerometer, a barometer, Bluetooth connectivity, a compass, global positioning system (GPS), a gyroscope, a heart rate measure, a light sensor, a pedometer, a single sim card slot and Wi-Fi connectivity.

It is important to point out that while GFXBench is not an official source of information about the existence of rumored gadgets, the benchmarking site has been measuring and analyzing the performance of mobile platforms for years. The entries gave weight to the possibility of the existence of Galaxy Tab S4. Nevertheless, the said tablet and its respective specs are still rumors until an official statement from Samsung proves otherwise.
