The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 was unveiled more than a year ago, which means that the timing is right for the South Korean tech giant to launch the high-end tablet's successor in the coming months. While there is no concrete proof that the company is getting ready for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 release this year, the recent sighting of the device on a benchmark listing shows that the next-gen hardware is arriving pretty soon. The Tab S4 is revealed to sport a 10.5-inch display and 8 MP front snapper.

The result of the benchmarking of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is listed on GFXBench, in which the tablet is shown to have a 10.5-inch display with 1,600x  2,560 screen resolution. To note, the device in question is only known for its model number SM-T835. Tech Radar suspects that this tablet is none other than the Galaxy Tab S4 itself, considering that its model number follows the Galaxy Tab S3 with SM-T825. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 uses the model number SM-T815.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 benchmark listing shows that the tablet will have a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 7-megapixel front-facing camera. Although, GSMArena doubts if the Tab S4 will go for a 7 MP sensor at the front, given that Samsung's recent top-end gadgets like the Galaxy S8 smartphone already sport an 8 MP selfie shooter. With this, the Tab S4 could actually sport the same 8 MP front camera,

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is believed to be among the first few devices powered by Qualcomm's latest high-end mobile processor, the Snapdragon 845. Considering that the 2018 flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, are confirmed to have the Snapdragon 845, it is getting more likely that the Tab S4 will be the next hardware to receive the latest chipset. However, the GFXBench listing suggests that the tablet will remain stuck with the Snapdragon 835, which will officially turn one-year-old this year.

Specifically, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will boast a 2.3 GHz octa-core Qualcomm chipset with an Adreno 540 graphics processing unit (GPU) under the hood, as well as 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 64 GB internal storage. As for the possible release date of the tablet, it was earlier thought that Samsung would announce the Tab S4 along with the Galaxy S9 smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, but the company made no mention of a new tablet. Samsung is expected to disclose more details about the Galaxy Tab S4 in the near future.
