Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 7 specs comparison: Battle of the flagship handsets

In terms of design, both the iPhone 7 and the Galaxy S7 can be considered as the two of the most stylish devices in the market today. Apple's new flagship product is slightly smaller compared to its Samsung counterpart since it only comes with a 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display screen. On the other hand, Galaxy S7 comes with a bigger 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive screen.

Under the hood, Apple included their own Apple A10 Fusion chipset to power the iPhone 7. It comes with a quad-core CPU with six-core graphics GPU. Samsung equipped the Galaxy S7 with Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 Exynos 8890 Octa chipset and 2x2.15 GHz Kryo & 2x1.6 GHz Kryo Quad-core or 4x2.3 GHz Mongoose & 4x1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 Octa-core processing unit.

But while iPhone 7 comes with more memory options including the 32 GB, 128 GN, and 256 GB internal storage with 2 GB RAM, Samsung included a dedicated microSD slot to add the memory capacity of its 32 GB or 64 GB models with 4 GB RAM.

For the camera features, both the iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 comes with a 12-megapixel primary shooter. But Apple included a quad-LED flash that is ideal to capture images in low light conditions. iPhone 7's 7-megapixel secondary camera is also better compared to the Galaxy S7 since it is only 5-megapixels.

Samsung's built-in battery, on the other hand, lasts longer compared to Apple's device since the Galaxy S7 can operate up to 22 hours in talk time while iPhone 7 can only last up to 14 hours when used constantly.

While both devices had exceptional specs, users should choose which among the two flagship devices from the major smartphone manufacturers will fit their needs.
