Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge Plus specs rumors: hardware features leaked

Will the next Samsung Galaxy Note look better than its predecessors? Samsung official web site

The next high-end smartphone line from Samsung is starting to get more attention, especially after a leaked report showed the alleged hardware specs of the devices. The said hardware features were first spotted by SamMobile, and they are of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge Plus.

While the South Korean tech firm has yet to reveal the edition of their Galaxy Note product line sometime during the IFA 2015, the leak apparently shows what consumers should expect to see in the device. It also shows the next version of their curved Samsung Galaxy S6 edge product that is said to be called the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus.

According to the leak, both the Samsung Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus will come with a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution with backs made out of a glass material. The only difference between the two is the flat display for the Note 5 while the S6 edge Plus will have a curved dual-edge display.

The leak also mentioned that the upcoming Galaxy Note 5, which is allegedly known internally as "Project Noble," might come out with an Exynos 7422 processor, which could be Samsung's first product that features an all-in-one solution since it already has a 64-bit octa-core CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, as well as the tech firm's very own Shannon LTE modem in just one component. But the company is also allegedly testing a different Exynos 7430 processor and a more powerful 4K display for the device.

On the other hand, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus, which is the next installment in the recently released Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge product lines, is known inside the company as the "Project Zen." It will reportedly come out with a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 CPU, an internal storage of 32 GB, a 16-megapixel rear-facing primary camera with OIS and 4K video recording capabilities, a 5-megapixel secondary camera in front, the possible option to store RAW images, as well as a 3000 mAh battery.

But unlike their predecessors which only came out with the Android 5 Lollipop when they first came out, the upcoming products will be powered by the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upon release. The TouchWiz RAM problems in the first two Galaxy S6 devices will also be addressed in the Galaxy S6 edge Plus.

However, Samsung has yet to confirm or deny the validity of these reports regarding their upcoming high-end flagship Galaxy smartphones.
