Samsung Galaxy J1 rumors: specs of budget smartphone Galaxy J1 released

Samsung develops faster Wi-Fi technology to boost data transmission speeds by up to five times.

Apart from the alleged development of Samsung's next flagship phone called Galaxy S6, the South Korean based company is also busy building a new low-end smartphone to target the needs of those who want to purchase a new phone in the coming year but have a minimum budget.

Based on the leaked reports posted on SamMobile, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J1, which was given the model number SM-J100, will be given the basic specs that will be found in a smartphone.

It will include a 4.3in WVGA LCD display featuring a 800 x 480 resolution, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM as well as a 4GB internal storage with microSD slot for possible expansion.

It will also feature a 5MP primary rear camera and 2MP front camera.

The alleged Samsung Galazy J1 will also feature a 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and microUSB connectivity, and is powered by a 1850 mAh battery.

The said budget smartphone from Samsung will allegedly run using the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system.

The so-called Samsung Galaxy J1 will have an overall measurement of 129 × 68 × 8.9mm and will reportedly weigh 123g. This seems to make the device bigger and heavier compared to the other affordable phone varieties in the market today.

SamMobile also mentioned in its report that the upcoming Galaxy J series may be similar to the earlier Galaxy Y, which also have affordable price range but has a better specs compared to the other budget-phone releases.

Samsung J1 will be the company's first entry in the upcoming Galaxy J series, which will be launched alongside the reported Galaxy A and Galaxy E products.

It seems like the South Korean mobile and consumer products brand will not slow down in their smartphone releases next year, since the company is known for launching different smartphone products frequently every year.

The release date for Samsung Galaxy J1 is still undisclosed as of the moment.
