Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling texting: Here's what a conversation between the two Ryans about their wives' pregnancies would look like

Apart from their first names, Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling's similarities extend to the fact that they are becoming dads for the second time. It was announced Thursday that Reynolds and wife Blake Lively are expecting baby number two and so are Gosling and longtime girlfriend Eva Mendes.

While the two couples are yet to acknowledge the connection, Vanity Fair has imagined a situation where the two Ryans talk about their wives' pregnancies through text messages.

In the publication's hilarious made-up scenario, the "Deadpool" star initiated the conversation with utmost excitement while Gosling was projected as unexcited about the connection, a lazy texter, one who is apparently still a fan of the flip phone and one who doesn't know who Reynolds is.

Here's a part of the conversation:

Reynolds: you're so off-the-grid and artisanal, dude. I always picture you in a wood shop wearing a coonskin cap

Five hours pass.

Reynolds: so anyway, we should get the families together at some point soon!!

Reynolds: since we're all matched up now! two kids the same ages

Reynolds: wild

An hour passes.

Gosling: I'll have to check with Eva

Reynolds: blake and I are pretty damn good at board games

Gosling: I don't think I've played a board game since I was 12 man

Reynolds: oh!

Reynolds: uh we can also ride motorcycles and sulk in sunglasses too??

Reynolds: haha

Reynolds: whatever you guys want!!

Mendes and Gosling welcomed their first baby Esmeralda in September 2014. Reynolds and Lively's child, James, is 16 months old and is expected to welcome a baby sister or brother soon as well.

While Mendes was spotted fashionably hiding her baby bump, Lively is expected to show off hers on May 2 during the Met Gala.

Pregnancy rumors involving Mendes started last February, when the star was seen trying to conceal her growing tummy during a photoshoot.

As for the Reynolds family, Lively was speculated to be pregnant during the filming of "The Shallows," where she attempted to hide her burgeoning belly under her wetsuit.
