'Rookie Blue' season 6 premiere spoilers: Missy Peregrym loves Andy and Sam's baby trouble

While the fans of "Rookie Blue" are starting to panic after it was teased that Marlo (Rachael Ancheril) is pregnant with Sam's (Ben Bass) child at the end of the fifth season, actress Missy Peregrym said that she is thrilled at the complicated twist between her character Andy and the soon-to-be parents when the show returns for season six.

Peregrym told TVLine that she likes where the Andy-Sam-Marlo triangle is heading in the upcoming season. "I think it's brilliant, to be honest. I love the storyline. This is one of my favorite seasons," the actress said.

The Canadian actress feels that the complex situation where Andy and Sam are with Marlo can really happen in real life, where couples had to deal with unexpected stuff in their relationship and figure out how to surpass it. According to Peregrym, this is the first time that the show will feature something like this.

However, the actress admitted that while she is amused with the situation, her character Andy is not so pleased with the way things are going between her and Sam's upcoming child.

"Andy struggles with: Is it selfish for her to be with Sam when there's going to be this kid who needs a father?" Peregym teased. "Should they have the traditional family? That's something that is above her, it's beyond her, and she has to really evaluate for another life what the right thing is."

The actress also discussed about the possible marriage between Andy and Sam, since both are taking their relationship seriously.

Rookie Blue season six is slated to air in the US on Thursday, June 25. But the show already aired its sixth episode for the season in Canada, where it originated. At the moment, Canadian TV network Global is still mum about the renewal of the show for season seven, but rumors are starting to surface saying that the series will be cancelled after season six.

However, the show's US network ABC is apparently in talks to extend the series for another season, but no information had been reported at the moment.
