Adult Swim remains tight-lipped about the premiere date of "Rick and Morty" season 3, but fans of the naughty animated series continue to speculate about the plot of the upcoming season.

Speculations claim that the alcoholic mad scientist Rick Sanchez will try to break free from the Galactic Federation's maximum-security prison with the help of his 14-year-old grandson Morty.

One of the rumored plots claims that Rick's ex-wife will also lend a hand in his plans of escaping season. But the people behind the series have yet to confirm if the reported storyline will be included in season 3.

But series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland dropped a teaser during the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con which confirmed that Rick will manage to escape prison. However, theories claim that the Galactic Federation will exert all efforts to capture him back again.

Meanwhile, Roiland admitted in an interview with io9 (via Movie Pilot) that as the voice actor for Rick, he and the other cast members tend to use their creativities in improvising the plot every episode despite the presence of a script for the animated series.

"When doing the dialogue I have to toss the script aside. Even if I'm sticking to a very specific line of dialogue that is required for a very specific joke set up or punchline, I find that if I allow myself to adjust the wording and let it come out more naturally to how I would actually say it, it helps make the characters feel more real/alive/natural," Roiland stated in the interview.

Harmon, on the other hand, revealed in a separate interview with Vulture that they appreciate Roiland's creativity of coming up with witty lines on the spot.

"With Justin in the voice-over booth, we had to acquire a disciplined lack of discipline to look at the script and throw it away. You can hear him stumble on words, which gives an organic, infectious feel to it," he said.

The premiere date for "Rick and Morty" season 3 is expected to be unveiled by Adult Swim soon.
