Xiaomi has added another two phones to its portfolio of smartphones with the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. All of the new specifications, features and prices of these two devices will be discussed one by one.

As a successor of the Redmi Note 4, which was a hit among consumers, the Redmi Note 5 is expected to improve the specifications of its predecessor. However, TechPP noted that there are no major improvements in the features of the Note 4 as seen in the Redmi Note 5. The publication also shared that Note 4 fans may be disappointed since the Note 5 is only a mid-path refresh to the successful Redmi Note 4.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi Note 5 boasts a 5.99-inch display with a full HD plus resolution. The new device retained some of its predecessors specifications with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, the option for either the 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage or the 6 GB/RAM 64 GB storage and other connectivity features. Its physical look has slightly changed with the larger screen size and its battery has been slightly downgraded from 4,100 to 4,000 mAh.

As for the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the device can be distinguished because of its dual camera feature and superb selfie camera. Its rear cameras are installed with a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera, while its front camera boasts a 20-megapixel camera for clearer selfies. Having the same 5.99-inch display with the Note 5, the Note 5 Pro produces sharper images because of its processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. Apart from these, there are no other changes or differences between the two devices as the Note 5 Pro will also be running in Android 7.1.1, Gadgets NDTV reported.

As for its prices, the Redmi Note 5 is priced from Rs, 9,999 to Rs. 11,999 depending on the RAM and storage capacity according to Weibo. Meanwhile, the Note 5 Pro will be launched in Feb. 22 in India with a price starting from Rs. 13,999 to 16,999 depending on the variant chosen.
