'Red Dead Redemption 2' news: Title to come out as original game's prequel?

Red Dead Redemption Rockstar

Rumors about the sequel of the 2010-released western action-adventure game "Red Dead Redemption" are starting to be persistent while players are eagerly waiting for Rockstar Games' new releases.

For years, fans of the third-person game have been clamoring to get more details about the release date of the upcoming action-adventure title. But recent reports claim that the "Red Dead Redemption" will finally happen before "GTA 6" comes out on the shelves.

But it seems like Rockstar Games is not keen on releasing the game anytime soon. "It's wonderful to see so much excitement and enthusiasm for the 'Red Dead' series, and nearly 5 years after 'Red Dead Redemption's' release," said Rockstar Games

The studio added that it does not want to rush things when making a sequel for any of their creations. "As we've mentioned when asked in the past about new games in other series such as 'Red Dead Redemption,' 'Bully' and 'L.A. Noire,' we don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually. We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing," the studio revealed.

Meanwhile, a Redditor named AnonDN1978 revealed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will center on the adventures of three playable characters. Two of them are known as the Irish bank tellers named Isis and Seth, while players can customize the other character.

Another speculation from the Redditor is that the events in "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be set 12 years earlier than the events of the original "Red Dead Redemption" video game. This means that the game will serve as the prequel to the first game.

However, Rockstar Games has yet to confirm if any of the speculations are true.
