'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Teresa Giudice's lawyer clarifies rumors against client

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is still being hounded by several nasty rumors despite serving her time in prison for the last four months.

Several reports claim that Giudice tends to show her "diva-like" behavior in the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, and she refuses to comply with the rules of the prison.

Yet according to the reality show star's lawyer James J. Leonard Jr., none of the reports about his client is even closer to the truth.

"Any reports that she is behaving like a diva in prison and not getting along with inmates and the staff is 1,000 percent false," the lawyer said. "She is getting along well with everyone – staff, inmates – all the way down the line."

Leonard also mentioned that his client managed to adapt to the prison life well, and has already made some new friends. She also reportedly spends some of her time working in the kitchen and teaching exercise classes to her inmates.

"The women take turns leading classes and she has her little group, so once in a while she takes the lead."

The lawyer also claimed that Giudice's knowledge in cooking helps her a lot in prison. "Teresa has a job working in the kitchen. She told me she enjoys it because it helps her pass the time and allows her to interact with the other inmates." Leonard also said that working in the kitchen reminded Giudice of her home.

Also, Leonard clarified the reports that the Real Housewives of New Jersey is talking with some divorce lawyers to finalize her separation with her husband Joe Giudice.

According to the lawyer, he is the only legal counsel that Giudice has met since she was imprisoned early this year, and they never talked about divorce. The lawyer also added that the 42-year-old Bravo-lebrity constantly talks about her husband and their four daughters a lot, and think about their future together.

Leonard also added that though they managed to secure an early release date for Giudice on December 23 this year, she will remain in the prison system in her own home until her actual release date on February 2016.
