The final episode of "Ray Donovan" will air on Sunday, but it seems like the vicious ways of the main character's father will last forever.

The episode dubbed as "The Captain" will revolve around the plan of Mickey Donovan (Jon Voight) to force Alan (Paul Michael Glaser) to return the money that he gave him a long time ago. Alan rejects his demand at first and tries to shove him out of the door, but Mickey has come with Darryl (Pooch Hall) who holds out the door so Alan cannot close it behind them.

Also, the fans of the record-breaking television crime drama will see an explosive confrontation between Ray Donovan, played by Live Schreiber, and his boss Ezra Goldman, portrayed by Elliot Gould.

In the teaser posted on the show's official website, Ezra can be seen forcing Ray to sit down and think for a while about what he recently did. Ray says, "It's over Ezra."

In the previous episodes, Ray was convinced that he will be placed behind bars soon for his involvement in Sully's murder. He forced a commercial property called ABC Corporation to be handed to his wife Abby, played by Paula Malcolmson, so that his family will be secured while he's in prison. However, Abby refused the deal because she is not comfortable with how Ray managed to get it.

On the other hand, Abby is now contemplating on leaving her abusive and adulterous husband for her lover Jim Halloran, portrayed by Brian Geraghty.

Just like the epic finale of season one, this conclusive episode promises to offer an unexpected twist for the fans.

Vanessa Shaw, the actress who portrays Kate McPherson, described it as, "As per last season, Ray Donovan is really good at making something huge happen by the end of the season, and this is exactly what is going to happen. The unexpected is going to happen, and people are going to have...something happen to them,"

Just recently, Showtime announced that the show will return for season three. However, series creator Ann Biderman will not be around to produce the show. She will instead take on a consultant role.

Showtime's David Nevins explained through a press release posted on Deadling, saying:

"Ann Biderman is a uniquely gifted writer and creator. She has done great work on Ray Donovan from her very first pitch through the first two amazing seasons. Ray Donovan has become a signature asset for Showtime, and Ann will continue as a creative consultant on the show. We look forward to continuing our relationship with her."

"Ray Donovan" season 2 finale is scheduled to air on Sunday, Sept. 27 on Showtime.

The show has been renewed for a season 3 and will be returning to the small scree in summer 2015.
