Dwayne Johnson movie's "Rampage" is up for earlier release on April 13th.

In light of Marvel's recent move of releasing "Avengers: Infinity War" earlier than intended, Warner Bros. has decided to give its new action flick "Rampage," which stars Dwayne Johnson, a new debut date to provide the movie a two-week leeway before the superhero film drops.

The new release date of April 13 will see "Rampage" move up a week earlier than its initial outing schedule of April 20. Warner Bros. finalized the change-up almost a week after Marvel's suprise change date for the latest installment in the "Avengers" franchise, which now sees a theatrical release on April 27.

According to reports, Warner Bros. is betting big time on the film adaptation of "Rampage" top-billed by Johnson seeing as he has proved to be a box-office phenom in the commercially successful retelling of the "Jumanji" movie under Sony, which grossed $930 million worldwide.

The film will see Johnson play as a primatologist who is engulfed in a genetic experiment gone wrong, which sees the rise of three genetically modified superbeasts, with him the only one to stop it.

Besides Johnson, the cast of the movie will also be composed of the following: Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald, and many more.

The film will also reunite Johnson with director Brad Peyton, most notably known for "San Andreas." Peyton helmed the film based on a script written by Ryan Engle, Carlton Cuse, Ryan J. Condal, and Adam Sztykiel, which adapts the 90s video game of the same name.

"Rampage" will see a new theatrical debut mid-April on the 13th.

In other news, various films that will coincide with the release of "Rampage" will include "Borg vs. McEnroe," which will see Shia LaBeouf star alongside Stellan Skarsgard. Another one is "The Miracle Season" by LD Entertainment, and last but not the least is Anna Faris' "Overboard" remake.
