More truths will be revealed in the upcoming episode of "Prison Break" season 5.

Titled "Contingency," next week's episode will see Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) attempt to figure out what really happened to his brother. According to the official synopsis, Lincoln becomes quite frustrated as he continues to understand the real reason why Michael (Wentworth Miller) is back. Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) is also struggling with the possibility that Michael may be alive.

Meanwhile, C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar) comes up with a new plan to help Michael escape, but he worries it will not be executed the way he wants it to be. While the group race the clock to escape, Cyclops (Amin El Gamal) is trailing closely behind.

Tuesday's episode "The Prisoner's Dilemma" shocked fans when one major character was killed off. Paul (Paul Adelstein) made his final appearance on the show after an assassin put a bullet in his head. It is worth noting that this is not the first time for Paul to die in the story. He was also killed off in season 2, only to be revealed later that his death was just a cover-up.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, series creator Paul Scheuring explained why Paul had to go. "I knew that at least two characters had to die this season," he revealed. "Kellerman was a good first one to go, because in some ways, he was finding out [the secret behind Michael]. Once you start finding out the truth, and you're starting to kick out exposition that's too early in the narrative, you can't sustain that. You gotta die! When you know too much too early, you die."

When asked whether the second character to die this season will be from the original cast, Scheuring said he would rather to keep quiet on that part. However, he did confirm that "more deaths" will be featured soon.

The fifth season of "Prison Break" airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT on FOX.
