It seems like the cast members of "Pretty Little Liars" are more than excited to feature a five-year time jump when the second half of season 6 premieres early next year.

Recently, "PLL" stars Shay Mitchell and Keegan Allen shared their thoughts about the flash forward into the lives of the Liars in the next episodes.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Mitchell said that she was happy to bring her character Emily Fields back to Rosewood five years after the fateful night, when they found out the real identity of "A."

The 28-year-old Canadian actress shared that Emily and her friends will return to Rosewood with the several changes they acquired during the time they were away from each other.

In the second half of the season, fans should expect to see how the dynamics among the show's characters will change after being away from each other for a long time, after graduating from high school. But something forces Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), and Hanna (Ashley Benson) to return to Rosewood High to save their friend Ali (Sasha Pieterse), who currently teaches in their old high school.

According to Mitchell, the Liars' reunion will also showcase several light moments among friends as they hang out at their favorite spot – The Brew. However, the girls' tastes seem different now compared to when they were younger. "Instead of drinking coffee, we're having beer," the actress stated. "It makes it a lot more fun now to play closer to our age and also closer to our fans' age that have grown up with us."

Allen, meanwhile, told Entertainment Tonight that there will be several exciting new arcs in the "Pretty Little Liars" season 6B plot. "It definitely feels like a new show now -- it's a lot more adult," the actor who portraysToby Cavanaugh in the series claimed.

He also said that loyal followers of the series would be shocked to see the upcoming changes in the second half of season 6. He also dished the status of Toby and Spencer at the beginning of the "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 premiere.

"And without giving away too much, there are so many reveals not just with Spencer and Toby, and not just with Hanna and Caleb, and all these characters, Ezra and Aria, but more so about this story coming together after 5 years -- seeing where everybody is at and what really happened," Allen shared.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6B premieres with the 11th episode titled "Of Late I Think of Rosewood," which is expected to air in January 2016.
